1. Introduction and definitions

Welcome to the ARSIO platform. These general terms of use (hereinafter: the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the ARSIO web platform. By registering an account or using the platform or any of its features, you fully agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the platform.

The following terms are used in these Terms:

  • "Platform" or "ARSIO" – the web application at arsio.si and all related services.
  • "Service provider" – ARSIO SYSTEMS d.o.o., Ulica škofa Maksimilijana Držečnika 6, 2000 Maribor, registration number 7342578000, Slovenia.
  • "User" or "you" – any natural person who accesses or uses the platform.
  • "Account" – the user account you create when registering.
  • "User content" – CVs, profile data and any other data you upload to or enter on the platform.
  • "Job" or "Job posting" – a vacancy posting obtained from external sources.
  • "AI matching" – the automated analysis of your profile and its comparison with jobs using artificial intelligence.
  • "Magic link" – a one-time email link for continuing a session or verifying an account.

2. Acceptance of the terms and capacity

By clicking "I accept the terms of use and the privacy policy" when registering, or by continuing to use the platform, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 16 years old (in accordance with ZVOP-2 and Article 8 GDPR).
  • You have full legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
  • You have read and understood these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
  • You agree to the processing of your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.

If you are under 16, you must not use the platform. If we find that a user is under 16, we will immediately deactivate the account and delete all related data.

3. Description of the service

The ARSIO platform is a free online job search service that:

  • Lets you upload your CV and have it analysed automatically using artificial intelligence (LLM).
  • Automatically extracts structured data from the CV (name, education, skills, languages, experience).
  • Searches and ranks open jobs on the Slovenian market based on your profile and preferences.
  • Lets you browse jobs as cards (swiping) – liking or rejecting individual jobs.
  • Generates personalised match analyses, including a suitability score, identified strengths, gaps and suggestions for improvement.
  • Offers a "continue where you left off" feature via an email link (magic link).

3.1 Limitations of the service

The service is informative in nature. We expressly clarify that:

  • The platform does not guarantee employment. AI matching results, career advice and CV improvement suggestions are for information only and do not constitute a binding recommendation or a decision on suitability.
  • Jobs are obtained from external sources (publicly available job portals). The platform does not guarantee the accuracy, timeliness or availability of individual postings.
  • AI-generated match scores are approximate and do not take into account every factor that affects a hiring process (interview, cultural fit, etc.).
  • We reserve the right to change, suspend or discontinue any feature without prior notice.

3.2 Availability of the service

We strive to keep the platform running without interruption, but we do not guarantee a specific availability (uptime). The platform may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, upgrades or circumstances beyond our control (infrastructure provider outages, force majeure).

4. Registration and account security

4.1 Ways to register

You can create an account in one of the following ways:

  • Email with verification via an email link – the account is created in Firebase only after you confirm ownership of the email address by clicking the verification link.
  • Google sign-in (OAuth 2.0) – authentication via your existing Google account.

4.2 Your obligations

  • When registering, you must provide true, accurate and complete information.
  • Each user may have one account. Creating multiple accounts for the same person is not allowed.
  • You must notify the platform immediately of any unauthorised use of your account or any security breach at info@arsio.hr.

5. User content and intellectual property

5.1 Ownership of content

The user is the sole owner of all content they upload or create using the platform (e.g. a generated CV, profile data). By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, revocable, worldwide licence to process, analyse, store and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service as described in these Terms. This licence ends when your account or the individual content is deleted.

5.2 Your warranties

By uploading content, you confirm that:

  • The content is accurate and truthful.
  • You have the right to upload and share this content.
  • The content does not infringe copyrights, trademarks or other rights of third parties.
  • The content does not contain malicious files (viruses, malware).

5.3 Use of data for AI training

Your data is never used to train, fine-tune or improve language models or other AI systems. Our calls to AI service providers work on a "zero data retention" basis – the providers do not store your data and do not use it to train models.

5.4 Intellectual property of the platform

The service provider retains all rights to the source code, algorithms, application design and all related materials. The ARSIO platform, its design, logos and graphic elements are the exclusive property of the service provider. Copying, reproducing, distributing or otherwise using these materials without prior written consent is not permitted.

6. Artificial intelligence and automated decision-making

6.1 Transparency of AI

In accordance with the EU Artificial Intelligence Regulation (AI Act), we inform you that:

  • Job recommendations, match scores and CV analyses are generated by an artificial intelligence system, not by a human.
  • The AI system analyses the content of your CV, extracts structured data, converts it into vector representations (embeddings) and compares it semantically with job descriptions.
  • The results are informative and do not constitute legally binding decisions or guarantees.
  • The recommendation algorithms take into account your search preferences (industry, region) and your browsing history (liked/rejected jobs).

6.2 Limitations of AI

The artificial intelligence system has limitations. As a user, you acknowledge that:

  • The AI may parse parts of the CV incorrectly (e.g. education entries, employment dates).
  • Match scores are approximate and do not take into account every factor of a hiring process.
  • The AI may occasionally suggest jobs that are not relevant or fail to show jobs that would be suitable.
  • It is advisable to check AI results and not to rely on them exclusively.

6.3 Human intervention

In accordance with Article 22 GDPR, you have the right to request human intervention regarding any automated decision. Send your request to info@arsio.hr.

7. Acceptable use rules

Users of the platform are strictly prohibited from:

  • Providing false, misleading or untrue personal and professional information when registering or using the system.
  • Using the platform on behalf of another person without their explicit authorisation.
  • Attempting to abuse or deliberately abusing (hacking, DDoS attacks, overloading) our search servers and the platform.
  • Accessing the platform automatically using "scrapers", "bots" or similar tools without prior written permission.
  • Uploading documents that are malicious (malware), contain illegal content or otherwise violate applicable law.
  • Infringing copyrights, trademarks or other intellectual property rights of the platform or third parties.
  • Attempting to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or to the platform's administration.
  • Using the platform to send unsolicited mail (spam), generate hate speech or discriminatory content, or for any form of harassment.

Consequences of violations: If these rules are violated, we reserve the right to immediately suspend or permanently delete your account without prior notice and without any right to compensation. In the event of a violation of the law, we reserve the right to inform the competent authorities.

8. Third-party services

The platform uses third-party services to operate. By using the platform, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Cloud and authentication service provider – for authentication, data storage and analytics. The terms of the chosen provider also apply.
  • Web analytics provider – for user experience analytics. The terms of the chosen analytics provider apply.
  • Artificial intelligence API provider – for the automated analysis of CVs and profiles (without storing data for model training).

The platform is not responsible for the availability, security or operation of third-party services.

9. Jobs from external sources

The jobs shown on the platform are obtained from publicly available external sources (job portals, employers' websites). With regard to these postings, we clarify that:

  • The platform is not an employer and is not involved in the hiring process.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness or lawfulness of individual postings.
  • We are not responsible for the conduct of the employers who published the postings.
  • Any complaints about an individual posting should be addressed directly to the employer or the competent authority.
  • The platform displays company logos and names solely for the purpose of identifying and informing users.

10. Limitation of liability

10.1 Service provided "as is"

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available", without any express or implied warranties, including warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, reliability or uninterrupted operation, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

10.2 Limitation of liability for damages

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the platform and its representatives, employees or partners are not liable for:

  • Any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damage.
  • Loss of data, revenue, business opportunities or profit.
  • Damage resulting from inaccurate AI analyses or recommendations.
  • Damage resulting from unauthorised access to your account.
  • Damage resulting from outages of the platform or of third-party services.

Note for consumers in the EU: This limitation of liability does not exclude or limit liability for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, nor does it affect your statutory consumer rights under Slovenian and European law.

11. Processing of personal data

Detailed information about which data we collect, why, how long we keep it and what rights you have can be found in our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy forms an integral part of these Terms. A summary of the key points:

  • We only collect the data that is strictly necessary for the service to work (data minimisation).
  • CV data is processed by AI on a "zero data retention" basis.
  • You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, portability and objection.
  • You can export your data in a machine-readable format (right to portability).
  • You can delete your account and all related data at any time.

12. Right of withdrawal and payment terms

Payment terms: If you choose paid services or a subscription, the prices and payment methods are clearly stated before purchase. All prices are in euros.

Right of withdrawal: In accordance with the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and the Slovenian Consumer Protection Act (ZVPot-1), as a consumer you have the right to withdraw from the contract and request a refund within 14 days of registration or purchase, without giving any reason.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, notify us with an unambiguous written statement (email to info@arsio.hr). On withdrawal, we will delete your account and all related data.

Exception: If within the 14-day period you have already used the service in full (e.g. received an AI analysis of your CV) and, when registering, you expressly agreed to the service starting before the withdrawal period expired, you acknowledge that the right of withdrawal ends in that respect. You can still delete your account and data at any time.

13. Termination and account deletion

13.1 Termination by the user

You can delete your account at any time by sending a request to info@arsio.hr. When the account is deleted, all your personal data is irreversibly deleted, including your profile, CV files and vector representations.

13.2 Termination by the platform

We reserve the right to temporarily or permanently terminate your access to the platform in the following cases:

  • Violation of these Terms or of the acceptable use rules (section 7).
  • Violation of applicable law.
  • Abuse of the platform or the services.
  • Security reasons (a threat to your account or to the platform).
  • Non-payment of obligations (in the case of paid services).

13.3 Inactive accounts

If you do not sign in to your account for more than 12 months, we will notify you by email of the intended deletion. If you do not sign in within 30 days of the notice, the account and all related data will be irreversibly deleted.

13.4 Provisions that survive termination

After termination of the contract, the provisions on limitation of liability (section 10), intellectual property (section 5.4), dispute resolution (section 14) and all other provisions that by their nature survive termination remain in force.

14. Dispute resolution and governing law

14.1 Governing law

These Terms and all disputes relating to them are governed by the law of the Republic of Slovenia.

14.2 Amicable resolution

Any dispute relating to the use of these Terms will first be resolved amicably. If an amicable solution is not possible within a reasonable time, the court in the Republic of Slovenia has jurisdiction to resolve the dispute.

14.3 Online dispute resolution for consumers

In accordance with Regulation (EU) 524/2013, we inform you that the European Commission maintains an online dispute resolution (ODR) platform for consumer disputes, available at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/. You have the right to use this platform or another alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanism before going to court.

15. Force majeure

The platform is not responsible for delays or non-performance of obligations resulting from force majeure, including natural disasters, wars, epidemics, power or internet outages, government measures, attacks on information systems (DDoS, hacking attacks) or outages of third-party services (cloud, hosting or external API providers).

16. Changes to the terms of use

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a notice in the application at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not agree to the amended Terms, you have the right to stop using the platform and delete your account before the changes take effect.

Continued use of the platform after the changes take effect means that you agree to the updated Terms. The date of the last update is always shown at the top of the document.

17. Miscellaneous

  • Severability: If any provision of these Terms becomes invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. The invalid provision is replaced by a valid provision that comes closest to the meaning and purpose of the original.
  • Entire agreement: These Terms together with the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and the platform regarding the use of the service.
  • No waiver: Failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
  • Language: These Terms are drafted in Slovenian, which is the governing language for their interpretation. This English version is a translation.
